  The 11oz lightweight 'stretch' (cotton-elastane mix) denim fabric of this garment actually starts off a brilliant blue. The original color can still be seen if you look inside the coin pocket.
  After an initial stone washing to soften and age the denim, it is then exposed during the washing process to a mix of black and brown pigments. A resin coating applied before the washing makes the pigments stain the garment in an uneven and random way, and fixes the color, to ensure a long-lasting dirty effect.
